Families who extended their arrangement
From families across Taipei
Each review reflects a different family's experience. We share them here as honestly as they were shared with us.
"My mother was reluctant at first—she's a very private person and didn't like the idea of someone unfamiliar in the house. Within a week of the aide starting, she was asking when she'd be back next. The daily companion arrangement has been exactly right for her."

"Organising my father's medication had become genuinely stressful. He had four different prescriptions on different schedules and we were constantly worried something would be missed. The Medical Liaison service took all of that off our plate. Three months in, not one mistake."
Chen Tzu-Yang
Son · Zhongshan District · January 2026
"The briefing notes after each visit were something I hadn't expected to value so much. I live in Taichung and my grandmother is in Taipei. Reading a short note each evening telling me how she was doing made an enormous difference to my own peace of mind."
Wu Ming-Chieh
Grandson · Based in Taichung · March 2026
"We tried a different agency for two months before coming to Tenderly. The contrast was noticeable. A different person every few days versus one consistent aide who knows my husband's routine, his preferences, even which chair he likes to sit in for meals."
Huang Jing-Lan
Spouse · Da'an District · December 2025
"The care coordinator remembered details from our first call six weeks later. I don't know how, but she did. That kind of attentiveness carries through into the care itself. My father is being looked after by people who take their work seriously."
Chang Hui-Ling
Daughter · Songshan District · January 2026
"My mother has mild cognitive decline and we were apprehensive about introducing a stranger. The team was very thoughtful about the introduction—gradual, low-key. She accepted the aide naturally over the first two weeks. It was handled with real sensitivity."
Lee Kuo-Chang
Son · Beitou District · February 2026
A few journeys in more detail
With permission, we've shared three accounts of how care unfolded for families who came to us at different stages.
Maintaining independence after a fall
The situation
An 81-year-old man in Neihu had experienced a minor fall at home. His adult children, based across Taiwan, were concerned about his safety alone during the day but he was strongly opposed to moving anywhere.
What we did
We started with a half-day Daily Companion arrangement—morning visits focused on breakfast, light mobility support, and companionship. After six weeks, confidence had returned and the family felt comfortable again.
The outcome
He remained at home throughout and did not require any further falls for over eleven months. Family relationships also improved—less worry from a distance meant fewer tense phone calls.

Managing multiple medications with confidence
The situation
A 76-year-old woman in Zhongshan had recently been discharged from hospital following a cardiovascular event. Her prescription included five medications on different schedules, and her daughter was struggling to manage everything remotely.
What we did
We enrolled her in the Medical Liaison arrangement. An aide organised her medications into a clear daily system, accompanied her to all follow-up appointments, and kept a written health log reviewed by the family weekly.
The outcome
No missed doses across seven months. Her physician noted improved compliance at the six-month review. The daughter described the arrangement as "the best decision we made after the hospital."

A seamless transition to full home care
The situation
An 88-year-old woman with advancing mobility challenges was finding daily life increasingly difficult. Her family wanted comprehensive, consistent care without the upheaval of a residential move.
What we did
We began with the Full-Spectrum arrangement, assigning a dedicated aide for extended daily visits. Over time, with the family's agreement, visits were extended to seven days a week with occasional overnight coverage.
The outcome
She remained in her home of forty years. The family described a marked improvement in her mood and general vitality within the first two months. She remains a Tenderly client today.
